ReplyDeleteMy best Christmas present EVER was actually a couple days before Christmas...when I was 15. My mom was battling cancer and was in and out of the hospital a lot. It looked like she was going to be in for Christmas since she had just had some surgery. Well she got much better, quickly, and since we little sis and I had not 'shopped' for her, we were stuck so we wrapped things we already had around the house so she's have something under the tree to unwrap. True story! When Christmas morning came, there were tons of fresh packages under the tree that we didn't expect and many were for my mom. Our friends and neighbors had come thru and there were so many gifts...so my sis and I were trying to hide our 'gifts' but mom insisted on opening them....and we laughed and laughed about how those gifts were our favorite ones. It really is all about the thought and the love.
