Tropical Traditions Coconut Oil Recipes and Giveaway

As I have mentioned before,
Mr. B & I are trying to lose weight
by eating a modified low carb diet.

So far, it's going pretty well.
We are losing weight and we are
definitely losing the belly fat!

There are a few foods we are missing though.
Particularly sweets!

Mr. B loves having something sweet after dinner
and was really missing that from our daily routine.

I had been looking for something to surprise him with
when I ran across articles and recipes using coconut oil.

I was so excited to try it out when Tropical Traditions sent me a sample!
Tropical Traditions is America’s source for coconut oil.
Their Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil is hand crafted in small batches by family producers, and it is the highest quality coconut oil they offer. You can read more about how virgin coconut oil is different from other coconut oils on their website: What is Virgin Coconut Oil?

Between the two of us we created this awesome recipe
for
Low Carb Peanut Butter & Chocolate Candy.

Ingredients:

1/2 cup low sugar peanut butter
1/2 cup Tropical Traditions Virgin Coconut Oil
2 tablespoons Cocoa
1/4 tablespoons Torani Sugar Free Raspberry Syrup
(or your flavor of choice)
1 tablespoon cream or half & half

Small paper candy cups or candy molds
Combine all of the ingredients in a small saucepan and
mix to combine.
Cook over a medium hot burner
until just melted and smooth.
Coconut oil becomes liquid at about 97 degrees so it doesn't take long.
DO NOT BOIL, just heat until melted.
Slowly pour into molds and cups
Place in the freezer for about a half hour
and then, Enjoy!
There is no doubt this has helped with our cravings!
We love that there is just a hint of taste of
coconut in the candies too!

I also use Tropical Traditions Coconut Oil
when frying up my morning eggs.
I have fashioned a faux french toast
by scrambling 2 eggs, adding some cinnamon and
a packet of Nectresse and frying in a bit of
coconut oil.
 Yummers in my belly!

Coconut oil’s uses go far beyond just cooking though. You can use it to so as a hair conditioner, or eye makeup remover, the list goes on and on. I rubbed some into my dry hands the other day and it felt great, kind of like body butter and left a slight coconutty scent. Tropical Traditions has a list of many different uses for coconut oil here

Intrigued? Well you can win a big 1 quart jar of Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil
of your very own to try!

Tropical Traditions also carries other varieties of affordable high quality coconut oil. Visit their website to check on current sales, to learn about the many uses of coconut oil, and to read about all the advantages of buying coconut oil online. Since the FDA does not want us to discuss the health benefits of coconut oil on a page where it is being sold or given away, here is the best website to read about the health benefits of coconut oil.
