This is probably the most elegant table I have ever put together. The inspiration comes from the napkins, found at Home Goods and the china set that was an anniversary gift from Mr. B back in June. They are marked as Made in Italy, Limoges. I love the simple silver pattern of fans around the edge. If you look closely you can see small white flowers.

The silver napkin rings were also a gift from Mr. B, as are the crystal water goblets. Again, my tablescaping enabler comes through.

The tall crystal compotes, used to hold candles, were an auction find. I love the pattern on them. They do not match but are close enough that you would not know if I hadn’t told you, but I am keeping it real here. The crystal candle hurricane in the center is the same pattern as the water goblets. The silver plated flatware is Rogers and the pattern is called Four. I won them on Ebay at a great price.

The set of china included a tea pot as well as a sugar and creamer. I am on the hunt for a buffet table for extra storage as well as a place for seasonal displays. Lacking that, we have a small table in the corner that our 10 year-old rescue Jack Russell Terrier, Max, uses to hide under during thunderstorms. Max let me borrow it this one time to use as a coffee station. I covered it with a black tablecloth which I think really lets the set shine.

I hope you have enjoyed this table as I much as I do. To me, with all of the thoughtful gifts from Mr. B, it really is a table of love.
So very elegant! What a sweetie your husband is to indulge your passion.
ReplyDeleteYour table is beautiful! I really like the napkins and the way you have them displayed in those pretty napkin rings. I'll have to remember that for a future tablescape. Great idea to use your shawl as a runner; your creative thinking comes in handy with your tablescapes! So glad little Max allowed you to set up a coffee station. It looks great!
