ic Kathe With an E: Red & White Santa Table

Red & White Santa Table

This year, in the dining room, I decided to go with
a predominate red & white
theme, with a bit of a nod to Santa.
Cuz you all know,
I love Santa!
I started the table with a plain white table cloth.
I made the runner using red & white polka dotted
wrapping paper I bought, on sale, from Hobby lobby.
I used a simple red charger and
layered a white thrift store Johnson's Bros dinner plate
and topped it off with a fun polka dotted
square salad plate, bought on clearance,
from Hobby Lobby.
(Love how they match the wrapping paper perfectly!)
Bright red napkins were folded to mimic
the Santa hats on each chair
and I simply added a cotton ball at the top.
I then placed the flatware in each napkin.

The snowflake stems came from Dollar Tree several years ago.
The little snowflake votives are from Yankee Candle.
For the centerpiece I used some
icy candle sticks from Kohl's,
added some epsom salts for snow,
and topped them off with a
polka dotted ornament.

I also used my favorite mirror, added some red glittered ribbon to white
candles and placed them all in the center of the table.

I sure hope when Santa visits
our home he likes the table I set
with him in mind!

  8. Uh huh...I noticed you were suckin' up to Santa in those first and last paragraphs! You must be toeing that fine line between the Naughty and Nice lists! :-) What a great idea to use wrapping paper as a runner! It's inexpensive, comes in about a billion different patterns, is easy to roll out, and there's no muss or fuss after dinner! What a fabulous idea!!! CUTE napkin fold!!!! They DO remind me of the Santa hats!!! Pretty centerpiece, too!!!
