Things To Do In Missouri #VisitMO @VisitMO

This post brought to you by Missouri Division of Tourism . All opinions are 100% mine.

Mr. B and I do love to travel. The past few years we really haven't been able to get away but, it never hurts to check out different vacation spots, right? We've also talked about doing a road trip at some time so we could explore the unexpected.

Missouri has dozens of world class museums and galleries including the new East Building expansion at the St. Louis Art Museum, opening June 29.  Then there is the St. Louis Science Center.  The Science Center, Grant’s Farm, the City Garden and the St. Louis Art Museum are all free.  One other thing that would be at the very top of our list would be to visit the great outdoors. I'm sure that out of the 51 state parks at least one of them would be perfect for us. If you want to find out more about Missouri like VisitMO on Facebook and follow VisitMO on Twitter.

Thinking about our itinerary I would love to stay in a bread and breakfast and spend the morning of the first day at one of the state parks and do a wine tasting at one of the 100 wineries in town. Then on another day I'd love to check out all the amazing food they are supposed to have in Missouri. Then for the third day I think it would be really interesting to visit Laura Ingalls Wilder Historic location and if we had enough energy hit up one of the dozen or so casinos in Missouri. On the fourth and final day of our trip we would have to check out some of lesser known, off the beaten path, BBQ joints Missouri is known for! What would you do if you had a four day vacation in Missouri?

  1. Missouri has a lot of stuff to do! Our BBQ is top notch here in Kansas City, Missouri (KC, which is mostly located in MO, but always gets confused with KS!)

  4. I've been to many places in MO. Love KC and St. Louis is pretty nice too. It has great duck and goose hunting for a totally random tidbit. Haha! My brother owns a duck/goose guiding business in Southeastern MO.

  5. I have family in Missouri, and there are a lot of great things to see and do. It is a lot of fun to go into the arch if you are not afraid of heights. We also really enjoy going to Branson. One year we even took a family vacation there. We rented two cabins on a beautiful lake that was only a few miles from the main strip. All the kids got to play with their cousins and it had so much fun. We also really enjoyed going to Silver Dollar City and Fantastic Caverns.
